Part of Diageo's Special Releases 2023 'Spirited Xchange', this is the Oban 11 Year Old Single Malt named 'The Soul of Calypso'. Inspired by the rhythmic fusion at the heart of Calypso, it was matured in Caribbean Pot Still rum casks. This dynamic union brings forth surprising tropical nuances of sugar cane and mango, complementing Oban's distinctive blend of Highland and Island styles. Bottled at cask strength for full expression.

Nose: Delicately fresh, with a pronounced distillery essence. Initial hints of maritime air, reminiscent of sea breeze, seaweed, warm sands, and a subtle touch of iodine, are accentuated by zesty lemon and enriched by the sweetly spirited tropical tones of sugar cane and mango from the rum cask finishing.

Taste: Exceptionally velvety texture introduces a fruity and citrusy sweetness, lightly seasoned with saltiness, staying true to the distillery's character. This is balanced by a persistent yet harmonious spiciness.

Finish: A moderately short finish unfolds with a spicy kick, followed by a soothing coolness. Leaves behind a gentle, lingering sweetness on the palate.
